Privacy Policy
Version: 2.0
Effective date: 2026-07-23
This Privacy Policy explains how the individual provider identified in the Imprint handles personal data in connection with the Spectral website and desktop application.
1. Controller
The controller is:
Dominik Germek
Business designation: Spectral
Franz-Ehrlich-Straße 12
12489 Berlin
Germany
contact@spectral.trade
2. Website visits
Spectral does not operate analytics or advertising profiles. Hosting and delivery providers may process technical data needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, date and time of access, requested page, browser, operating system, and referring page. Those providers may retain server logs for security, troubleshooting, and reliable operation.
The website does not use advertising profiles or analytics cookies. The site loads the JetBrains Mono font from Google Fonts; your browser may therefore connect to Google and transmit technical connection data. You can prevent that connection by blocking external font requests in your browser.
3. Beta and waitlist forms
Email is the only contact information Spectral asks you to submit. If you provide it through a beta or waitlist form, the provider and the form-processing provider Formspree receive your email address and any message you choose to include. It is used only to manage beta access or the waitlist, send a license key or invitation, and send related beta updates. The legal basis, where GDPR applies, is consent and/or the steps requested before entering into a service relationship.
Formspree may process data outside your country. Its own privacy terms apply to its processing. You may withdraw consent or request deletion by emailing contact@spectral.trade.
4. Contact form
If you use the contact form, the provider processes your name, email address, and message to respond to your request. The website uses Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the form from automated abuse. Cloudflare may process technical request data needed to provide and secure that service.
The form is handled by a Cloudflare Worker and sends the message to the provider through Resend. The Worker does not store form messages or raw IP addresses in a website database; it temporarily stores a one-way IP hash only to limit automated or repeated submissions. Resend and the provider’s email service may process the message and related email-delivery data under their own terms. The legal basis, where GDPR applies, is the handling of your request and, where applicable, consent.
5. Desktop application
Spectral is designed as a local desktop application. Trading, account, chart, journal, and configuration data is stored on your device. Spectral does not operate analytics or a trading-data server, and it does not send those data to the provider.
The application may nevertheless communicate with third-party systems required for its operation:
- IBKR, Trader Workstation, or IBKR Gateway for broker connectivity and market/account functionality;
- Keygen for license validation, machine activation, entitlement checks, and license heartbeat requests; and
- the update provider used to deliver application updates.
License validation may involve the license key, license identifier, machine/device identifier, application version, and network information. This is sent to Keygen for licensing and security, not to collect trading history or build advertising profiles. Update checks are sent to the update provider. Third-party providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Local Terms acceptance
Your acceptance of the Application’s Terms of Service is stored locally on your device as the accepted Terms version and acceptance timestamp. The acceptance record is not uploaded to the provider.
7. Retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, to provide the requested service, to meet legal obligations, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. You may request deletion of beta or waitlist contact data unless a legal retention obligation applies.
8. Your rights
Where GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent. You may also complain to a competent data-protection supervisory authority.
9. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@spectral.trade.
